After the resignation of Jeff Weiner, Executive Vice President of network division at Yahoo!, news of two more expected departures (Jeremy Zawodny and Usama Fayyad ) are heating up.
Jeremy Zawodny, a Technology Evangelist has officially announced that he will be
leaving Yahoo! in the next few weeks.
“In the next few weeks, I’ll walk the halls at Yahoo! as an employee one last time and turn in my purple badge.�?
After working for about 8.5 years, he is looking forward to share his scalable experience with some Open-Source company by contributing more.
“It’s always hard to make a decision like this. It took several months to finally decide. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Yahoo and have a lot of people to thank–people who took a risk on me, believed in me, encouraged me, and even defended me over the years.�?
Zawodny was an active part of Yahoo Developer Network and Yahoo Search Blog. Being a firm believer of an open-source Citizenship, he was a prominent promoter of open source software.
According to New York Times, Dr. Usama Fayyad, Chief Data Officer and Executive VP
of Research and Strategic Data Solutions of Yahoo! is also leaving the badger company and an official announcement of his departure is expected today. Being a data guru and in charge of research organization at Yahoo!, Fayyad was responsible for managing all data policies and was contributing by improving ads and content for Yahoo!.
The three notable departures are quiet alarming and it will greatly influence the company’s share as Yahoo! has already end talks with Microsoft.
