Nielsen has released the online video ratings for the month of October. YouTube once again topped the list with over 5 billion streams and more than 82.5 million unique visitors. Fox Interactive Media has grabbed the second place with around 244.2 million video streams and over 18.4 million unique visitors. Hulu is at the third place with the biggest gain since September.
NBC Universal succeeded in grabbing a place in the top 10, where as Disney Online couldn’t make it this time. The report also suggests a decline in overall viewers to 3% from September to October.

The real story here is the success of Hulu. They have made amazing progress in a very short time. It looks like Jason Kilar (who helped launch Amazon into the DVD business) and his team have really come up with an effective business model. Now I hope that the revenues follow!
