Youtube is turning itself into a web based video playing system of sorts. The new control bar that appears on the bottom of every video page allows you to stop or play the video, jump on to the next related video, make a quicklist of videos to be played – quicklist option was there in the past but now the control is added in the control bar at the bottom. Such a control bar is a typical feature of any video player and its interesting to see it on Youtube now. This tells us a lot about how serious Youtube is in making its viewers stick to the site for long hours.

In a way this could act as Stumble Upon, where you could just jump on to the next related video after the other. If people started using this seriously it could prove to be very addictive.
