In a bid to improve user experience, YouTube has recently rolled out new viewing options for their users. The first is Theatre View that displays the video clip in a widescreen, cinematic mode with red curtains forming the frame and the Lights off feature that dims the browser area outside the video.
YouTube recently put up a change with the file size limit, by increasing it to 1GB from the initial 100 MB it offered. However the time duration still remains fixed at 10 minutes.
That somehow discourages high quality content from making it up to the online video platform and in order to sort this complain, YouTube put out with its Screening Room, at last enabling upload of short films. Apart from that users can also filter their search to feature longer videos by simply adding &longform=1 in the address bar:
