YouTube is back in the game with its new upload process redesign, offering something of a change to its users. YouTube has a new video uploader, which was previously in private beta for quite some time. Following current trends the service has kept an opt-in feature for its users wishing to switch or remain with the old YouTube. So, with the new uploader users are able to input metadata, like the clip’s name, description, and tags while the video is uploading; as well as the option to upload multiple (10) files, up to the limit of 1GB – going past the 100MB limit.
Although YouTube’s competitors allow much of these features already, but these upgrades show that YouTube is working to stay afloat with the big guns. Of recent YouTube has been under serious criticism for offering the same services as many of the similar sites out there do.
