Yoono re-launched its beta in May this year, had been testing its browser sidebar for almost a year and with the idea of providing browser widgets gaining momentum within the online network culture the Yoono re-invention has been looked forward to for quite a time.
Yoono offers a powered up browser sidebar for Firefox with an ability to serve as both a social network news aggregator and a media content sharing tool. The sidebar itself is customizable and can be configured with quite different widgets including Flickr photo viewer and music player.
The news out is that Yoono has announced its freshest round of funding, raising an added $4 million from its original investor, Assurances Generales de France (AGF). Also Yoono has shown plans of seeking more funding from a US based company, in order to step up its works in the US and establish firm growth in the US market.
So Yoono has brought up a couple of news for the users with the raise in funding and the launch of its public beta of the sidebar for Firefox.
