yippiemove thumb Yippie Move is the Movers and Shakers for Web Email

If you are stuck with an email provider just because you are unable to figure out a way to migrate all your data and emails to the newer service provider Yippie Move might just have a solution for you. The service can transfer all your emails to a newer address for just 10 bucks. The service works with around 40 web and educational email providers and can also migrate emails from any account that supports IMAP.

All you have to do is to provide the service with the credentials of both your old and new email account and Yippie Move will do the rest of moving and shaking for you. Yippie Move can also work its way around any specific non standard folder scheme like the labels in Gmail.

Creator Viktor Petersson while talking to Webware said that most of the job transfers take around 10 minutes or less to complete, but in case you have a 4 year old Gmail account or something of the sort it might take longer. All the heavy lifting is done on the company’s servers so you can just punch in your credentials and could go and enjoy breakfast while the service does its job.

On the negative side of things, the service does not have any support for Hotmail and Yahoo Mail, two of the services on which most of the folks are stucked. However the company has plans to support these two services as well as the POP protocol down the lane.

I personally think that feature like this should be built into email providers and services like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Hotmail should allow their users the luxury of getting all their stuff and move on to another more hip destination. This would be a great user friendly move as users would have the satisfaction that they are not getting locked into a system that might get worse in times to come. But may be who cares for the users.
