Yammer that had come out as a promising startup, winning the TechCrunch 50 award; the firm that provided internal communications within companies has gone down. The service had died down simultaneously in the US and UK, but came back to life in the US. UK’s BBC staff that counts to around 25,000 has taken a major blow with Yammer’s failure to deliver.
I guess the firms now have another one to blame apart from Twitter. And sadly enough, Yammer pulls down with it all communications with organizations like BBC and TechCrunch itself. I would give a serious suggestion that firms should set out to find an alternative to do the same job, at least as a backup.
