With the new homepage out for users, Yahoo plans to do some spending on branding. The idea is to make Yahoo a more prominent name amongst the online community, which is why it will be investing more in branding. We stated that the new homepage will have lesser links that reduce self promotion and lets user decide on their own what Yahoo services they need to use, plus it will also be removing the bulk of ads, one reason that drives users mad. What about a search deal with Microsoft? To be honest the chances are quite low, given that Bing is going really good, something that must be in the mind of Carol Bartz.
