Yahoo is on the verge of plummeting share market price as deep financial crisis hit it hard, but nevertheless the core values of Yahoo, it’s value of providing good products with nice user level compatibility are not lost. That’s why the Yahoo UI team is BUCKET testing it’s new interface. The team has significantly made improvements.
YUI 3 would make implementing Yahoo’s design much easier based on several goals:
1) Eliminate global dependencies, such being that applications to be running independently.
2) Make it small, make it fast.
3) Create version independence.
4) Allow code portability.
5) Be forward compatible.
It’s good that Yahoo needs a change in not only it’s Structure on the web but within it’s corporate policies to make it the tech giant it was once.
