Yahoo still the best in Japan as comScore releases stats for June

comScore LogoAlthough Google is the best in U.S., it certainly doesn’t means that it has outclassed Yahoo everywhere. In the Japanese online market, Yahoo has succeeded in keeping the top spot for the month of June, 2008. Google has maintained the next spot followed by Google and Rakuten. Yahoo’s total number of visitors in June were 46.1 million, where as Google’s visitors were around 35.8 million and Rakuten Inc’s visitors were 30.8 million.

Yahoo and Livedoor has seen an increment of 2% in growth as compared to May, 2008. Google, Rakuten, FC2 and Wikipedia has improved 1% as compared to the previous month. GMO Internet Group’s stats were slightly changed where as Microsoft and NTT group has lost 1% each.

The only site that Nifty Corporation has seen a decline in traffic and they have lost visitors upto 5%. Following is the table of top 10 sites in Japan along with their stats.

On the other hand Adobe has gained the top spot as the most gaining properties category with 22% increase as compared to May, 2008. This category has various local sites such as ITMEDIA, SOFTBANK, YOMIURI, etc. Here are the top 10 most gaining properties for the month of June, 2008.
