YahooAfter Icahn and Microsoft exchanged letters and possible plans at ousting Yahoo CEO, Jerry Yang and the company’s board of directors there was another set of rumors that mentioned the resignation of Jerry Yang from Yahoo but the rumor has been turned denied as reported by WSJ. The reason that stands tall in denial is Jerry’s presence in the Sun Valley conference in this week and his latest shredding at Microsoft and Icahn’ Proxy move.

He pointed out in an interview with the Wall Street Journal saying:

To trust Mr. Icahn and his board is really a bad choice

The response comes after Microsoft showed interest at beginning talks with Icahn to acquire Yahoo be it a part or a full acquisition and he succeeds at pushing to wall the company’s board of directors. Yang at the other hand opined that Yahoo is more than ready to re-start their talks with Microsoft but the unwillingness shown at Microsoft’s end shows how stubborn Microsoft has become. Wait is this all the fault of Microsoft? We don’t think so, the curry that has been cooked over the past few months in relation to the acquiring Yahoo search or a certain amount off stocks is the making of everyone involved. Icahn with his anti-Yang campaign, Microsoft’s eyes seemingly fixed at a major acquisition once Icahn steps in and Yang’s stubbornness all create a jimbo for no one else but Yahoo on whole.

Microsoft refrained from commenting at remarks made by Yang but a spokesperson added saying:

We have concluded that we cannot reach an agreement with them. We confirm, however, that after the shareholder election, Microsoft would be interested in discussing with a new board a major transaction with Yahoo.

The statement clearly suggests that Microsoft wont budge from its standing and wait for the shareholder’s meeting of Yahoo where the fog might clear out; paving way for Microsoft to talk with Yang free Yahoo.

Yahoo without Yang? The CEO has a different opinion with full confidence in his abilities stating:

I think that I can bring stability back to Yahoo!, and I want to get on with building the company, I think that the destabilizing by Microsoft has become more and more intentional. I am not happy about it.

All so said, it is clear for now that Yang still is sure at having enough fire to light Yahoo back at success.
