While we might have all the complains for Yahoo Mail but Yahoo is more busy with even important things. It has confirmed its acquisition of the very popular Internet portal from Arab, Maktoob. The acquisition will prove more than just fruitful for both as it will amalgamate Yahoo’s 20 Million users with Maktoob’s 16 million and all products will be branded as Yahoo Maktoob and the deal will most probably be completed by the fourth quarter. This isn’t an all out acquisition and many of Maktoob’s businesses which include; Souq, Cash, Araby. I guess Maktoob was likely to be fetched by a giant sooner or later given its popularity in the Arab world. I just want to see how positively it affects Yahoo in the Arab region.
