The restructuring at Yahoo continues after Neeraj Khemlani left his position to join Hearst Corp with Marco Boerries is making an exit too. Marco had been EVP for Connected Devices division for four years. Reports have it that he had been planning to make this exit for a long time but his loyalty to Jerry Yang, former CEO of Yahoo, prevented him and appears that the coming of Carol Bartz as the new CEO removed that hindrance. He confirmed that in his email sent to employees, stating his decision was taken solely because he could no more divide time between his family and work:
Most of you know about my personal situation, the ‘living in 2 continents’ and the importance of my family to me. I cannot reconcile these personal needs, my future plans and ambitions and Yahoo! anymore. And that’s why it is time to say good bye.
