Yahoo and the two new board members (to be)

Sardar Mohkim Khan

yahoo Yahoo and the two new board members (to be) We had talked about Icahn’s inclusion in the Yahoo Board last month and the shareholders meeting that proceeded without his presence on a pretty disappointing note. There was however another interesting aspect regarding the compromise between the two; which stated that Yahoo would have two more members included, taking the number to 11 members.

It appears that Yahoo might just make an announcement regarding this anytime soon while prospective candidates to take side as Icahn’s allies in the Yahoo board. As the Wall Street Journal Reports, the nominees for the two seats might very well include; Frank Biondi and John Chapple; a former CEO of Nextel.

Although Jonathan Miller had been tipped in to step into the Yahoo board but had to be dropped out due to intervention from Time Warner (of which Miler was a part). Chapple might sound pretty unfamiliar but this guy has been known for his fight over what he thought right during Nextel’s sell-off to Sprint, he made sure he got his point through and did not budge from his stance over the issue.

If that is so, I bet Yahoo and the rest of the board needs to keep a hard look out, for if the board falters and fails to come up with something positive and beneficial for the company; they would have two war-horses biting in at the already shredded board. The word is not yet Official but Yahoo would most probably come out with the names pretty soon (though I would stick with the above mentioned).
