How often do you bump into an application being shut down and then popping up again in less than a couple of days? Well if you haven’t witnessed it up late, now’s the time to do it. How do you do that? Well, the Agarwalla brothers have the Wordscraper for you.
Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla had previously launched Scrabulous on Facebook that won a lot of appreciation from the users, but then shut it down as Hasbro threatened the game to be a violation of copyright laws. The game was only shut down in the United States and Canada, where Hasbro has all the rights for Scrabble. This enraged the users quite a lot as Scrabble succumbed to some ‘malicious attack’ yesterday.
The brothers have stepped back in to keep the balance and more importantly and keeping the station for the word game divided. The number of users for the game increases with time; as more learn about its presence on Facebook. Wordscraper comes with a different design, making it appear a whole lot different than the original Scrabble.
So is Hasbro and EA try and do something about Wordscraper too? I can give them a suggestion, pretty cheap and very ‘Hasbro like’; accuse them of mutating ‘Scrabble’. Do you think they will do that? Tip in your answers in comments.
