WordPress service went down yesterday due to which some of the blogs saw service outage. Among the affected were some valuable clients including GigaOm. According to GigaOm’s Omair Malik, the cause of the service outage was a Denial Of Service (DOS) attack. The service did come back after some time. On this the CEO of Wordpress’ parent company Automattic, Toni Schneider said:

A handful of blogs were down during the attack. The vast majority kept running.
