wiredlogo Wired.com lays off 25% employeesWith CondéNet laying off employees across the board, Wired.com is the most affected one as 25% of its workforce has been laid off including 10% of the editorial staff. According to Valleywag, one of the employees fired is the VP of corporate development for CondéNet, Kourosh Karimkhany, who helped the company in acquiring Reddit and Ars Technica.

According to Wired.com’s editor in chief, Evan Hansen:

Revenues are expected to be up year over year but not as much as we expected.

We’re concerned about 2009 because visibility is murky. We’re taking steps to make sure we’re in good position.
