Mary Jo Foley has an interesting post about an Interview with Brian Asbogast, Corporate Vice President Windows Live Developer & Communications Platform. In her interview Mary also asked Asbogast about Windows Live Calendar:
And what about the long-awaited Microsoft Windows Live Calendar?
“Calendar will be a shared service and we’ll be talking more about it this summer,” Arbogast said.
To put this announcement into perspective take a look at the traffic comparison posted by LeeAnn Prescott in January. At that time Google Calendar had already overtaken MSN Calendar in market share of US visits and was about to do the same with Yahoo Calendar. It had gained 333% over the June-Dec 2006 period at the expense of its competitors.
I don’t know what the stats are now, but as Mr Asbogast has said “They will start talking about it in summer this year” I am sure they will have play catch-up with Google Calendar for the rest of their lives.
Google Calendar is already a moving target, in fact a really fast moving one. It has been integrated into Gmail and with Google going for the kill via the Integration route, we don’t know what it will be till summer sets in. Mike Moritz once made a comment that he decided to Invest in Yahoo because it was a few weeks ahead of its competitors to the market.

Interesting!
Where did you give the figures for the web site hits from then?
Keep it up
