In a bid to compete with the growing (or should I say the already mammoth) influence of Adobe’s Flash, Microsoft and Novell had announced the launching of Moonlight. Moonlight is a Firefox add-o that enables playing Silverlight content on Linux PCs. Along with this, Novell has also put out its management pack plugin for the Microsoft’s System Center. The pack has been released in a bid to enable IT managers to workout deployments of Windows and Suse Linux. Novell’s GM Global Strategic Alliances, Susan Heystee stated:

That really goes to the value proposition and the focus we’ve really had around interoperability. Many of these companies are deploying Linux and windows in their data centers.
