There’s quite a lot of hype already and people anxiously waiting for the unveiling of Google’s Android mobile platform based G-1 to be officially announced anytime soon. Although the phone is set to come out in the market by next month, there has been news of it having an application already be out for it.
MG Siegler has tipped out at Amazonmp3 coming out with a music store for the Android; isn’t this obvious, I mean after watching the success reaped by iTunes, the idea of having one for the Android shouldn’t come as a surprise.
One thing for sure that might just make a difference here is that iTunes doesn’t allow its users to rent or buy movies and there is a high probability that the application from Amazon would do that. Although there is no such news or any confirmation from Amazon, but given Amazonmp3 gaining widespread popularity, chances are good that it will make its way up with an app for the Android. Let’s just wait and see whether the rumor remains a rumor or turns out true.
