WildTangent, a casual game developer is laying off 20% of its staff in a bid to try and save some cash and survive the downturn in economic conditions. The staff layout is a result of closing an in-house development studio. WildTangent distributes around 1000 games via its portal on a freemium model. Only 30 of these 1000 games were developed in the now closed studio.
