This shouldn’t come off as a surprise, Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia is planning to take some legal action against Wikipedia’s ban in the UK. The issue that led to this was an image of a nude girl on Scorpions album, Virgin Killer. The Internet Watch Foundation hasn’t blocked the usage of the entire site but users in the U.K are unable to edit articles on the online encyclopedia. In an interview to Channel 4 Wales pointed his concerns over the action stating that the IWF is over-reaching its authority:

The Internet Watch Foundation were clearly over reaching their remit when they blocked the text page on Wikipedia — there’s nothing illegal about the description of the album.

This could be troubling as Wikipedia gets more than 25% of its content from the United Kingdom.
