With stricter rules over porn on the Internet Wikipedia the free encyclopedia has caught attention of port police. The site has been banned in Britain when Internet Watch, a British group that maintains a list of porn sites found Wikipedia’s page displaying a naked girl. The image had been put up as Scorpions’ cover for their album, Virgin Killer by the encyclopedia’s editors. I guess the idea of free speech and anyone can edit working of Wikipedia has rendered it open to such things. Child porn remains one major area where it scores many points given that its deputy director, Erik Möller is a strong activist of such liberalism along with his associates at Wikimedia.
