The Wikimedia Foundation has successfully achieved its target of raising funds worth $6 million. The largest free online encyclopedia passed the target today as its fundraising campaign brought $6.2 million in donations from 125,000 people. This amount will provide for all operating costs for the Foundation till June 30, 2009.
