Widexplorer is a meta search engine that uses the vertical scrolling capability of your browser to show you search results in a very productive and practical way. It shows you websites in their full glory , which is somewhat like SearchMe, although it uses its own search engine, where as Widexplorer opens up the websites of Google, Wikipedia, Live Search, Youtube and the likes to show you their search results.

This can prove to be very helpful if you want to run a search query on multiple websites. It surely saves you the hassle of switching back and forth in browser tabs. Although, you don’t have the facility of opening search results in new ‘windows’ in the same browser tab of Widexplorer, which is handy when browsing through search results.

There are also some Websets, which are collections of several websites of different categories in the same window. There are 12 at the moment, which include magazines, videos, buzz, news and many others. They are also working on providing international versions and new tools to customize search results and navigation options, and ability to create your own Websets.

This is an interesting search engine, but I would actually prefer Search Me over Widexplorer as it provides a totally new dimension to your Online Search, where as Widexplorer just puts a new presentation layout on the search engines we normally use. But it’s still worth using if you want to do some research spanning multiple search engines.
