WhiteHat Security, a website security provider that claims to be the complete one stop solution for website security; has raised a fourth round of funding. The company had previously raised $6.2 million.
The Sentinel-service provided by WhiteHat, is subscription based; offering to control the sites shortcomings that are controlled by customer and managed by experts. The current round of funding is estimated at $7 million led by Horizon Ventures and investors who were already a part off this; namely, Altos Ventures, Garage Technology Ventures and Startup Capital Ventures.
The company that had been founded in August 2001, is led by Jeremiah Grossman. He had previously worked for Yahoo as Information security officer and the security industry. WhiteHat was formed to provide a comprehensive solution to every issue related to website security.
