When it comes to smartphones, the iPhone bites a huge chunk off the share and overshadows all its competitors. The App Store is heading on to the billion mark and while it achieves that, the fairly young Android has touched its own; a million G1 phones sold  running Google OS. Of course this is quite a long time it has taken but a number that just cant be ignored. The Android has its own App market, it has Google and while developers currently live making most of the iPhone platform, they will eventually realize the power of Android, given that they have a potential market as well, especially that paid apps will be coming soon as well.
