You can’t deny the reach and power of the Internet as the very word Media continues to migrate towards this. Reports today state that USTA will be airing all its matches from the U.S. Open at USOpen.org. This is big as it means 150 matches and 300 plus hours of live tennis and IBM as usual is providing the platform for this technology. This is a big shift compared to the last season where the only game to air online was the Men’s Final. I just hope they have prepared well enough to counter a surge in traffic, it would leave many viewers disappointed if the coverage is halted by downtime.
