Washington DC’s Metro Area Transit Authority has finally agreed to share its transit schedule data with Google’s Transit service after initially declining to do so. The move will allow Google Transit users to easily search for schedules of Metro’s in Washington. Google Transit currently has schedule data for 13 major US transit areas.

The finer details of the agreement are not know yet, so we cant comment on whether Google would be getting this data for free or if there is some kind of a revenue share agreement.
