Here comes another fail to be Facebook or should I say an anti-Facebook campaign from once lovers of the social network. A group of Facebook fans are planning to launch a campaign on My 31, in order get people quit the social network. Why so? Well all the chaos the new privacy issues have caused and with the idea of the social network having the entire Web revolve around Facebook; are the primary reasons. And while every tried to gobble this down, we came across Mark Zuckerberg calling people dumb f*cks, for trusting him and the social network with their privacy.
The group already has 3,200 followers who have vowed to quit the social network but honestly speaking, it wouldn’t even dent Facebook, which has more than 450 million users. But who knows? I mean we already have a new and more private social network in the making by the NYU students by the name of Diaspora and might very well be the next stop for the quitters. While this wont do any damage whatsoever, but it just shows how disgusted have people got with the ridiculing policy Facebook has when it comes to user privacy.
I am not sure how long can these folks stay away from the social network given that more than a third of every college going student finds it impossible to stay from any form of social media, it is equally impossible for me to believe a mass exodus from this particular social network.
Any ways, if you are one of those ready to pack bags and call it a day on Facebook why wait till May 31? You can learn how to quit Facebook from us or Simply Google on ways to delete your account.
