A web-based app, Pixolu, lets you look for images by their similarity to one another. As previously reviewed, the service works by searching image indexes of Google, Yahoo and Flickr, and returns results which you can further refine. Drag images to Pixolu’s ‘holding area’ to further refine your search. For example, if you’re looking for pictures of lots of pumpkins gathered together in particular, search for it with Pixolu; drag and drop pictures of multiple pumpkins from your initial search (into the sidebar) thereby refining your search. Pixolu then narrows down the remaining images and gets you just the right photo you’re looking for.
