In this time of economic crunch, we tend to be looking out for the cheapest deals available and when there are so many shopping comparison sites available, we tend rather be confused where to go, but today I found out about this new startup called www.cheaptoday.com, which publishes low-priced, hand-picked deals.
The site, brings independent, authoritative and expertly selected deals on apparel, consumer electronics, entertainment, health & beauty, gifts, and home & garden to consumers looking for high-quality items at the lowest available prices. Developed by the founders of www.Cheapflights.com, the site uses a publishing platform displaying the best deals from multiple sources.
The best thing about this site which makes it different from others is that, the deals are handpicked and posted by the selected panel of the editorial team which makes it quite a remarkable, unlike other sites which rely on bots, web spiders and software’s to do the listing.
Another thing I liked was, that the top deals selected by the editorial shopping team are included in the "Weekly Wow(TM)", a newsletter delivered to registered users by email.
Online shopping is overly computer-automated; our concept for CheapToday.com is just the opposite. We use a talented team of editorial shoppers to hand-pick the deals," says Milenko Beslic, President and Co-Founder of CheapToday. "Computers don’t know how to shop for shoes because they don’t wear shoes.
The website is quite remarkable and I believe that this business model could really go further being successful, if taken seriously by other shopping comparison sites.
