Redwood City, California based P2P video startup, Vuze, has confirmed the layoff of half of its employees. Twelve employees were fired in April and 12 more in August.
According to the Vuze’s VP or marketing, John Fernandez:
We anticipated that the economic environment was going to deteriorate, so we decided to act proactively
The startup has so far raised $32 million in three rounds of funding. The startup has been improving on advertisements and video views have also increased to 30% with the release of published version 4.0 at the beginning of the current month.
