The report shows that the American population loves engaging in political activity via social media tools and online videos.

The survey observed how voters had themselves informed on news about elections. The survey revealed more than 62% of the population used the Internet as the source for all election based news, with almost 75% of the 1,800 involved in the survey terming online videos to be the smoothest way to stay updated about elections. In a press release, Ken Wirt, VP consumer marketing  for Cisco Cisco reported:

The 2008 election has rightfully captured the attention of the United States, and the Internet serves as a very effective tool in helping people investigate issues, make informed choices and share their opinions.
