Last month we reviewed the startup ‘Viviti’, which is a free content management and website builder. It lets you create the website easily with a pro look. The site is very helpful for people who have little or no knowledge about web development. Now the startup has released its new build 0.1.4 which contains over 80 fixes, improvements along with some new features. User feedback has played a vital role in this release.
The tool bar has been redesigned along with a new status bar. Now you can see how many blog comments you have got. The newly added status bar sends you notification from the site and also allows you to change editing modes for previewing or bug checking. With the new option the toolbar can either be hidden or shown. When hidden, the editing features are disabled.
Three new blog related components have been added for bloggers which contains blog search, recent comments and previous posts i.e. archives.
Social Bookmark links with the metadata of every blog post can be seen with the help of a new option available in the Blog Settings. Services like Digg, Delicious, Reddit, Stumbleupon, etc. are also part of the new update.
The number of themes have been doubled and more are expected in the coming days. Also Flickr photos, YouTube videos and Twitter updates can now be easily updated with the help of some new components.
Some of the stuff updated on user’s demand include:
-
-
RSS Component updates more frequently, and works with more feeds
-
Layout Mode added, allowing you to work on your site with all the content stripped out (easier editing, fixing broken blocks)
-
Permalinks can be customized now when creating new blog posts, and will work with international characters
-
Preview mode to quickly view how your site will look logged out, with editing features disabled
-
Font and Font Size added to visual editor
-
Single image component to quickly add just one image to your site
-
New searchable component browser
-
