(I use to run ME back in the day - and it wasn't that bad for me at the time) When I got my laptop last year I was "lucky" enough to have been one of the first to get Vista. It was a massive pain in the butt. Having a new computer with the latest bells and whistles you'd think that the OS would run quick and smooth. Well it actually ran slower than my girlfriends 2 and a half year (at the time) notebook that was running xp. It truly sucked eggs big time, and so many programs were not compatible with it at the time - I also had hardware that was no longer compatible. That really sucked. I was naive about it and thought all the companies would have new drivers for the hardware. Nope. Stuck. I ended up just working around all the hassles, but still have lost the hardware that I used to have. In my opinion, if you don't have to use vista than don't. Stick with xp. Btw, it does look "prettier" but if you want form over function stick to xp. Otherwise get a mac :p Yeah, i’d say it’s worse than ME. It looks good on other computers, but I have a mac @home and XP @work. Is it really worse than Windows Me ? Or is it just bad word of mouth ?
