Yahoo & Google decided to extend the Wednesday deadline for the ‘Search Advertisement’ deal, as anti-trust regulators are yet to issue a decision over the deal. It remains to be uncertain whether the deal will be given a go-ahead with changes to it, or it hits a block. The official deadline was first October 8, which was extended, as per the agreement between Yahoo and Google, to facilitate reviewing by the concerned bodies.
Advertisers would have their hopes pinned on the deal not happening, as they have been opposing the deal from day 1. Their concerns are quite similar to that of the federal anti-trust regulators.
