Silverton Partners, have just financed $2m, to a Texas based identity management software development firm UnboundID.

The company said that it will use the money to develop additional products and for market expansion efforts for a new class of identity management technology, which the company plans to launch in early 2009.

UnboundID understands that the identity management problems we face today cannot be solved by simply adding new features to yesterday’s technology. By building a new platform for the needs of the next generation of web computing architectures, UnboundID will help organizations to meet current and future identity management demands.

Definitely identity management in this era of mesh and hybrid web and rich client/server end applications is very much necessary and if looked upon, is a field for much future investments and work.
