Twitter has been down since fortnight; but still the increase in number of its apps are forcing me to think that instead of focusing on its Quality (of providing service); it is actually focusing on the Quantity (number of apps). But again, as Twitter is a service with thousands of users (though they want this service to shutdown); we see an expansion in its apps’ library and Twitzu is a part of this expansion.
Twitzu allows Twitterers to instantly create an event and share it with their followers. The event creation is simple, you just have to give some basic information (such as title, time, date, location and description) and you are done. The site facilitates its users to view RSVPs, allowing them to keep a track of who is coming. Events are enlisted on the site’s homepage and users can narrow searching by looking for specific event.
The app can be considered as a good initiative step in the already available Twitter’s applications. Swiftly creation of events avoid irritating users and saves their time. Twitzu will help in organizing the parties or get-togethers with similar tastes and backgrounds.
One of the most notable flaw is the non-functional links present at the bottom of a main page; at least, they could have started with all working links. They can add a feature to invite specific Twitterers only. It can introduce RSS feeds to improve tracking mechanism( of attendees). Sorting an event with the help of date and month would be a great idea to increase the site’s functionality.
