Looks like downtime isn’t the only thing troubling Twitter but pests as well. Twitter is swarmed with tweets related to the Twitter worm over the weekend and an even bigger problem is that Twitter is yet to fix the issue. Users should use the third party apps and not use the web version. Other steps that you can take to ensure safety is to reset your password, disable Javascript and clear cache. You can also keep a check via Twitter Status Blog or follow @spam for further updates. This is very bad for Twitter’s reputation especially when FriendFeed is getting better by the day. I would simply hate unwanted messages in bulk bothering me or my followers.
Update: The problem is under control for now and I hope it remains so for later on as well.
