Twitter made a much waited announcement earlier, it will open its OAuth for third party applications. This would let third party apps to directly access user account information without the need for them to enter those. Although this is useful, it does open a few glitches, specially related to abuse. Definitely those issues have been looked up before they opened it up for third parties, this could still prove painful in time. Though I don’t think it will that great an issue, given there are already many apps that require users to enter their information.
