Twitter plans to hire Spam Engineer for its anti-spam move

Saad Ali Abbasi

twitter_home Twitter stepped its anti-spam move up a notch as it plans to hire a spam engineer. As the site has been plagued with spamming since earlier this year, Twitter looks to take care of the trash. The company has also changed the way it deals with suspended spammer accounts: by replacing the entire suspended page. Though they remain viewable in Profile Search.

Twitter founder Evan Williams posted a tweet about the company plans in this regard, and the effort was praised by the Twitter community. The spam engineer is likely to be working with the “spam marshal”, who was hired in August.

Evan’s blog post states that Twitter is looking to hire someone who has worked with a big search or e-mail company.
