Twitter has officially announced two prominent joinings in their investment teams. Bijan Sabet of Spark Capital in Boston and Jeff Bezos of Bezos Expeditions in Seattle participated in the third round of raising funds, though they haven’t disclosed the funding amount yet. Existing twitter partners, Union Square Ventures and Digital Garage also made their contributions by participating in a funding round.

Bijan is also expected a seat on twitter’s board of directors.

Biz Stone, the co-founder of twitter, sated that twitter can be turned into a long lasting and business supportive model by raising a handsome amount of fund by private firms.

Our biggest opportunities will be worth pursuing only when we achieve our vision of Twitter as a global communication utility. To reach our goal, Twitter must be reliable and robust. Private funding gives us the runway we need to stay focused on the infrastructure that will help our business take flight.

On his trip to Boston, Biz found Bijan as a man of great caliber.

Today Twitter announced a new round of investment. And I’m thrilled to join their board of directors along with our investment in the company.

Another investment partner, Jeff Bezos has intense and varied scientific interests at an early age. Biz admired Jeff’s scalable and valuable expertise and regarded him as a true inspiration for all unit of Twitter.

Having worked on Wall Street as a computer scientist, built a network for international trade, founded Amazon.com, and launched the human space flight startup Blue Origin, Dr. Bezos (through Bezos Expeditions, his personal venture investment company) serves as more than an investor and advisor

Biz further added that Twitter is constantly making efforts to visualize their goal.

We will continue hiring systems engineers, operators, and architects, as well as consultants, scientists, and other professionals to help us realize our vision.

Its true that twitter is eloquently working to cope up with its downtime problem. Hiring John Adams and Ruby Winnacker as Operational Engineers to resolve its technical issues and joining hands with pivotal labs to enhance architectural features are some of its key examples.

Daily increase in the number of twitter’s app depicts its popularity among mass sector. Apps like twitabit are made to support twitter during its downtime. Though every picture has two sides and twitter had also suffered some adverse public criticism during its downtime. The service’s progress (of staying up) since its last downtime depicts  that it will soon be able to attract more new users and will surely not disappoint the existing ones. Twitter had already launched twitter status that keeps on updating its users if  any thing goes wrong.

Overall third round of funding will surely help twitter to serve as a real time  communication platform for its die-heart fans. Twitter has already raised $15 million in its second round of funding when it was struggling with scaling issues.
