If you are looking for a way to find local users on Twitter then Tweetmondo. All you need is a signup and tolerate an auto tweet. The advent of GPS enabled phones, location based services has made it easier for locals to collaborate with each other and many services resort to leveraging the technology. Tweetmondo simply requires you to enter a location and it provides results with users closest to the location. The best part, it’s all in real time along with the added filtering options that include removing people who don’t have a certain number of followers too. It does have the real time feature but it really doesn’t tell you who is nearby right now. But that can’t be use to put off how useful the service is.
