Tweetburner is Feedburner for Twitter

Bilal Hameed

tweetburner thumb Tweetburner is Feedburner for Twitter Tweetburner, a new service for the twitter world, lets you know those cheesy stats about your twitter posts. In one sentence, it is the Feedburner for Twitter. The service lets you track your twitter posts. All you need to do is to post links to twitter via tweetburner. The tweetburner team is calling these posts twurls and have submitted almost 1 million twurls that have been clicked more than 7 million times.

Webware has some interesting data. According to them Laura Fitton of Pistachio Consulting has created 275 twurls via Tweetburner and have gotten a whopping 22,257 clicks. This is a really cool and useful service specially for marketing and PR people out there. These guys have been using Twitter since ages for marketing purposes and now they have a tool to monitor and gauge there efforts as well.

In addition to this, tweetburner is also providing URL shortening service, that is a necessity given the 140 character limit of Twitter. Further more the main page of Tweetburner contains an overview of the 10 most clicked URLs in the last hour, tweets with most popular twurls in the last hour, latest tweets and so on.

Tweetburner also has an API to go right of the box. This is smart move because it will enable other services like Twitterfeed to automatically create twurls from my links and post them to twitter. This way I wont have to do anything and yet will be able to monitor my twitter feed stats.
