ToAnswer is a newly incubated startup that has come up with an interesting idea of facilitating users with their queries. The Twitter based mini app helps you to have quick answers of your questions with a single tweet!
Users can ask questions by sending tweets to @ask and anyone on the site can answer to it. Though Twitter also allows you to ask questions and get vigorous and relevant answers but it has got one flaw i-e ‘limitation of views’ because it is wholly dependent on your friends(followers). You can have instant answers, though the degree of answers ‘relevancy’ varies with your friend base and you can only get genuine and appropriate answers when you have smart peoples in your friend list. Whereas Yahoo Answers can be considered as the best micro answering service as millions of users can view your question and therefore you can have thousands of answers.
Therefore, ToAnswers has come up with an idea of meshing the two services i-e you can send tweets with your twitter account to ask any questions while you can have answers from thousands of people as it don’t restrict you to get answers from your friends only.
ToAnswer is headed by Chuck Harmston. The site is simple and is supporting a wholesome purpose and this will really help it to gain popularity. Questions enlisted on the site’s main page depicts that you can have answers of about any thing. Be it a funny question like ‘what’s your favourite line from THE OFFICE?’ or a specified question like ‘Which Mobile Having Better Camera’ or a question that really needs facts to support its answer like ‘What language and platform will be more popular (1) Jruby or (2) IronRuby and why…?’, it will provide you with an answer. Thus, the service is generic and productive enough to boost your knowledge with a single line.
