TorrentIt_LogoIf you belong to the BitTorrent community then you must have heard about 123Torrents. Now the site is making its yet another comeback with a new domain, TorrentIt. The history of TorrentIt goes back to 2004 when the tracker was working under the domain of 123Torrents. The next year saw the tracker lost its domain and while going through the process of negotiations, they bought a another domain TorrentIt. After the talks were failed, the group decided to go live with the newly bought domain.

In 2006, TorrentIt had to close down as BREIN went after the owner who was based in Netherlands. Early next year, some of the old crew got together and decided to bring back the site from the dead. the deadline given was of May 2007 but the site was never launched due to some reasons until now. With the help of developers from DigitalHive, who were also looking for a side project, the site is back with a slight change in domain. The earlier extension of the site was .info but now its changed to .eu and is running on Gazelle.

Around 10 thousand invites have been sent to the old members and most of them have joined the site. Not everyone can signup right now as you need an invitation. So, if you are looking to join the site, you got to make some friends who can send you an invite.
