image thumb85 Wikipedia scores three million articles (in English)

Wikipedia emerged as a encyclopedia for the people by the people (doesn’t it sound a bit too democratic?) and it has lived up to its name with an exponential growth and a hub of information. The encyclopedia reached a milestone as it added the three millionth article. The growth has sort of stunted in the recent past but it still fulfills the demand of almost anyone who is looking for something. Plus there is an immense room for it to flourish, given that it is available in numerous languages. Let’s see how the encyclopedia grows in the future, which I bet  is pretty bright for it.

image thumb84 It’s not just customer service Ifbyphone helps businesses with, they can help save some bucks too

There is always some sort of news coming from Ifbyphone, which provides customers with ways to improve customer services. The current news states that Ifbyphone has helped small businesses save quite a bit on spending. Its Voice broadcasting service has been efficiently utilized by Weed Man franchises, a network of locally owned and operated lawn care professionals all across North America. The network has saved more than $1,000 a month using its Voice Broadcasting service. Sounds pretty nice as Ifbyphone’s platform has been leveraged to its maximum potential and small businesses can really fare better on saving cash.

image thumb83 We will do what we want and we will make Tr.im Open Source! I hope Nambu sticks to this one

I feel like throwing a boot showering Nambu Networks with flowers and salute its confusion on what it has to do with Tr.im. Seriously, there is a limit to being indecisive and they are setting new standards on that as they plan to make the URL shortening service Open Sourced. Wait, wait, weren’t they shutting it down? Oh, sorry, they were trying to sell it, no not selling it and keeping it runningwhat nonsense! Well at least they have decided (hopefully) they will make it open source which is a pretty good idea and something they should have done earlier. Their decision to shut it down all because Bit.ly was Twitter’s default URL shortener sounded pretty lame and damaged their credibility to accept the challenge. I mean there are many others out there already and doing much worse than Tr.im. Glad they got this in their head, I just hope they are done with this and stick to this decision.

image thumb72 Group chat feature is another leaf in CubeTree

CubeTree has added another feature to its social networking platform to enable group chat, enabling its users to instantly communicate via chat room. Its CEO and co founder Carlin Wiegner states that the service has more to offer with additional APIs ready to make their way out soon. I guess the service has a lot to offer already with its app available for iPod, iPhone, Adobe AIR and Blackberry. It’s competitor, Socialcast has been making the moves too a it earlier released its own set of APIs.

image thumb69 Will we really see an iPod Touch with Camera?

Confirmed that Zune HD is coming our officially on September 15 and right there we have rumors/reports that there is a new iPod in the making. Now I am not sure how true it is but from the images scattered all across the web, the rumors sound unrealistically real. Apple is might have already created an iPod Touch that boasts a camera or have plans to do so, not sure but I am taking this rumor to be pretty close to truth. Anyone who can confirm this?
