It’s all Google everywhere, be it Street View reaching new destinations or Chrome pulling out updates, but Microsoft has added something to its Live Maps that makes it stand out. The integration of its photo stitching service Photosynth make the experience worth everything. It isn’t something too great but at least shows that Microsoft is keen at being a touch more innovative with what they usually are.

Well, Steve Ballmer CEO of Microsoft, will be presenting along with his mates Gianpaolo Carraro and Tim Sneath, will be presenting both Windows Azure and Windows 7 and how they fit in the fluffy cloud computing vision. This will will be Live Web Steam being a 3-hour keynote event.
As I reported in My PDC coverage, that Microsoft has launched it’s Cloud OS called Windows Azure which will entail Microsoft’s Software+Service strategy. Now Steve will be highlighting along with his team how developers can significantly use the power of cloud computing to build highly scalable apps on the cloud.
The Windows 3.x that marked the beginning of a new era in operating system in the early part of 1990 has at last come meet its end. Microsoft put down issuing licenses for the aged software on November 1, 2008, bringing an end to the era spread to almost two decades.
The Graphic User Interface it brought forward for the personal computers might look absurd when compared to the modern one but it revolutionized the concept of computing. Something that not only brought more customization to the computers, with ability to add graphic, sound cards and other hardware but also had Microsoft establish its position as the world leader in Operating System.
Microsoft BizSpark is a new program brought forward to encourage startups to build their web service/tools on. The service is being offered free for 3 years. This is being run by VP Strategic and Emerging Business Development Dan’l Lewin, and is a global program, providing access to full-featured development tools with production licenses of server products and technical support – at no upfront costs. How can you get into this program you ask? Well it seems you need to be referred via a network of venture capitalists, consultants and other professionals, who are in a position to flag promising companies. Also: your startup needs to have been running the business for less than three years before applying, and have less than $1 million in revenue. Sounds like a good deal?

Looks like Microsoft is pretty serious at invading the Indian population with its banner and has definitely shown great speed with the launch of Live Search maps in the country. The launch has been made with detailed Street maps and listing for nine cities, twenty nine Business listings and accessibility to highway networks connecting over twenty thousand towns and cites.
Microsoft brings this service to both the PCs and the mobile devices to its users in India. Something that may would have though of Google to bring to every country. I think Microsoft has done the right thing by targeting the most promising business hub for the future and can gain solid grounds within the market to counter Google’s growing global influence (though this shouldn’t matter much to Google).
We all want more from the internet, and Web searches being an important part of every web user these day’s has brought about a revolution in searching and looking for stuff. But what if you have got specific question’s, and want answers to those?
Late in the game, Microsoft today pledged to come up with an innovative add-in to it’s Live Search Engine. Google does its via it’s serach integrated service and Yahoo has it’s most successful platform of answers called Yahoo Answers.
Loyalty? Greedy people? What else does Microsoft cashback need to decorate its new service with nothing but bogus.
The announcement was made by the outgoing Microsoft chairman, Bill Gates on advance08, where he said that the plan is to make Live Search the most rewarding commercial search destination on the Web.
Perhaps the purpose is to kill the google-mania, (keeping in view Microsoft’s failed effort to purchase Yahoo). How Microsoft manages to do that depends how much of the consumer volume Live Search generates.
